Cut the CPVC pipe squarely and smooth the edges.
Clean the pipe and fitting thoroughly.
Apply CPVC solvent cement on the plain end of the pipe.
Insert the pipe into the reducing MTA fitting.
Carefully tighten the brass-threaded side with a wrench, avoiding over-tightening.
Allow the joint to cure for a leak-free installation.
